Xiaomi’s Poco product has already launched two Poco phones this year, in the form of the Poco X2 and Poco F2 Pro. It doesn’t stop there though, as we already see evidence of the so-called Poco M2 Pro.
Now, MySmartPrice has seen the Poco M2 Pro listing on India’s BIS certification website. The name itself is not listed on the website, but the list includes the Poco name and model number M2003J6CI. This model number is previously tied to an upcoming phone.
This will not be the first time you have seen the website listing of an upcoming Poco device, as Xiaomi released the phone itself this year. The Chinese brand accidentally placed the phone in the RF exposure section on its Indian website.
XDA-Developers have previously noted that the code-whose physical “gram” name is similar to the Redmi Note 9 Pro. This suggests that the Poco M2 Pro is either a Redmi Note 9 Pro variant or features the same Snapdragon 720G chipset. But it’s also possible that this is completely different from Xiaomi’s previous releases.
Either way, it looks like India should be preparing for another Poco handset by 2020. And if it’s anything like the previous two phones, we expect it to offer good specs at a competitive price.
